CERTIFICATIONS

Certification requirements (including First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguarding) vary by role. For positions requiring specific certifications, our team will provide the necessary coordination and support to help you obtain them prior to the start of camp.

We value the expertise you bring to the table, which is why our pay is progressive, offering higher rates for those with advanced experience, leadership history, and specialized certifications (like lifeguarding). FLORIDA LIVING

Work where others vacation! Located on the scenic Manatee River, Camp Dayspring is the perfect traditional Florida summer camp. We’ve got you covered with free room, board, and three fresh meals a day. Explore the local excitement of Tampa, St. Pete, and Sarasota on your time off, or just enjoy the 'coworkers', aka the dolphins, manatees, and tortoises that are regulars on site.

INTERNSHIPS

Accelerate your career with a paid Internship. At Camp Dayspring, we believe in the power of experiential learning. Staff members can successfully fulfill their university internship requirements while earning a competitive salary. We encourage you to consult with your academic advisor to see how our leadership and mentorship roles align with your program’s goals. Once you’re part of the Dayspring team, we’ll partner with you to complete the necessary evaluations and documentation to ensure you receive the credit you deserve.

A summer at DaySpring is where professional development meets personal transformation. From sharpening leadership skills to creating lifelong memories for campers, the work you do here matters. Don’t just spend your summer- invest it in a community that makes a difference. Below you can find the outline of our staff application/hiring process:

1. Getting Started

​

Once the link is available, click to visit our Application Portal.

  • Create Your Account: You will need to set up a profile using your email address and a password.

  • Stay Connected: Please use an email address you check regularly, as this will be our primary way to contact you.

​

2. References

​

Our application requires recommendations to help us get to know you better. When you submit your application, your references will automatically receive a link to a brief online form.

  • Submit:

    • 2 Professional References: (e.g., teachers, coaches, employers, or mentors)

    • 1 Personal Reference: (e.g., a family member or close family friend)​

​

Note: Your application will be officially in review once all references have submitted their forms.

​

3. Personal Interview

​

Once we have received your completed application and have started reaching out to references, a member of our Leadership Team will reach out to schedule a personal interview. This is a great chance for us to learn about your goals and for you to ask questions about the summer!

​

4. Employee Onboarding

​

To ensure the safety of our camp community, all hired staff members are required to:

  • Complete a comprehensive background and criminal record check.

  • Provide up-to-date health information and immunization records.
